That bond doesn't break, no matter the amount of miles put between. Only grows stronger as the memories are made and years go by. Friends leave footprints on the heart, forever and always.

He's My Drug

He charmed his way into my heart
His personality, his looks, even his voice
Had hooked me right away
I really had no choice

He’s like a drug, addictive
A drug that I have to continue taking
Pulling me in, never letting go
It’s a terrible habit that needs breaking

He's no good for me I'm told
I need to be rid of him
But I'm afraid of letting go
Because things might get a little grim

I need to rid myself of the drug, of him

Just a quick update. Still trying to edit a poem that's been in the works for the last couple of months. I just can't seem to find the words to finish it. Going through the days, seeing what life throws at me. I have to be thankful for my friends though, especially one who loves having someone around as much as me. If I hadn't told him I liked him earlier in the year, I probably would now. BUT, we're just friends & that's just fine with me. He's like my brother now and I feel like I can go to him for anything (well, most everything).

So I guess that's just a quick update. Hoping to have that poem done soon. :)

Thoughts....

I haven't been on in ages but I haven't stopped writing or wanted to stop writing. I just haven't had the time & honestly, I miss it so much. I'm hoping the next few days give me some "food for thought" to able to write one. I could do a lot of self-reflecting and come up with one because the last few months have been quite different for me to say the least. But in the last couple of weeks, I have come to find that I have true friends and that I would do anything for them. I have had the most fun in the last couple of weeks with them than I have in my entire schooling career. I was meant to have friends like them and I couldn't have asked for a better group of friends than them.

We shall see what I come up with next. I'm (slowly) working on that story. Need to get back into the groove of things again. They have to wait, however, because I have other dreams to accomplish. :)

College Crush
