You've said I'm wise
Far beyond my years
Although I don't believe you
My eyes suddenly have tears

It's for all the times
You've been there for me
Helping me in any way
Especially with my poetry

You've been there from the start
Helping me improve
Each compliment you've given
Tells me you approve

You are an exceptional person
And I know in my heart
Fate brought us together
To never have us drift apart

I love you more than the stars
And the dirt under my feet
But I’m just so thankful
That fate had us meet

I tried saying goodbye
But you wouldn't let me go
Why would you keep me around
If you didn't want me ages ago?

I tried to put up a wall
To keep my heart from breaking
But you somehow broke it down
And now my heart is aching

Even though you said you did
You never cared about me
This hurtful love within my heart
Needs to be set free

You’re the type of friend anyone could love
Because you’re sweet, funny, caring
You love to help me any way you can
Even if I don’t feel like sharing

You’re there for me when I’m down
Listening to what I have to say
You’re there when I need someone to talk to
Trying to keep my emotions at bay

I’ve known you for a very short time
But it seems like it’s been years
I confide in you with everything
Even sharing my deepest fears

You’re the type of friend anyone could love
Because you have a heart of gold
And I’m hoping at some point to share with you
Everything that’s been untold

The necklace hangs around my neck
As a constant reminder of you
Because when you're not with me
My emotions always turn blue

I look forward daily to talking to you
Chatting about both our days
Dreams, and hopes, and worries
Until we don't know what to say

You bring a smile to my face
No matter how sad I am
You're nothing like a lion
But gentle like a lamb

I want to have you around for always
Together through thick and thin
Because this is just where we start
On a journey we both begin

Fans of Celtic Thunder

Being a dedicated fan
Requires a little hard work
Especially if others
Are trying to be jerks

Fans don't diss their favorite band
Nor do they hate things about them
Because in their mind's eye,
They are quite the gem

They, the fans, love them for them
Not because of the content they sing
But because they know the truth
That they are the REAL thing

So if you're a dedicated fan
Keep the love flowing
So that the "Celtic" Thunder
Keeps on rolling

Absence.....

Wow. I'm really slacking. I was very busy with school & hadn't had a chance to update this. I have written a few poems since my last post so I will post those. I, however, somehow lost my notebook with the story with Mr. McGee & Annabelle. If I find it, I will put up another little snipit of it since I haven't written in it in so very long. I'm sorry for this long absence.
